They've claimed the pavlova and Phar Lap - now Australia is taking our Pineapple Lumps.
Mondelez has confirmed it will be producing Jaffas, Pineapple Lumps and Perky Nanas across the ditch, after failing to find a suitable supplier here.
The company's New Zealand head James Kane says only one supplier put their hand up to make the chocolates here - but that supplier couldn't meet the unique requirements of the products, particularly the marshmallow based ones.
"We have put a great deal of time and energy into this. Our team here in Dunedin, in Australia around the regions and actually with some potential partners we have put a great deal of effort and energy in.
"We understand people will be disappointed."
Mondelez began looking for a supplier in February, after years of speculation and concern around the Dunedin Cadbury factory.
More than 70 per cent of the products manufactured at the site were exported, most to Australia.
The business had absorbed the additional costs associated with Dunedin production for several years, but Australian sites could deliver production volumes at the same quality as consumers expected, area vice-president for Australia, New Zealand and Japan Amanda Banfield said in February.
