A man was detained, stripped naked and assaulted during a home invasion in Christchurch. 

Police were called to a Riccarton home shortly before 6am today when three men assaulted the man who lived in the house, and also sexually assaulted a woman.

The three men then fled the scene.

A police spokeswoman said the man had organised to buy a cellphone from the men.

Police said they were “following strong lines of inquiry” in relation to the incident.
