More electric trains for Auckland, as the service is rolled out on the Manukau Line.

The new models will run on some off-peak services, starting this week, with numbers gradually increasing over the next month.

It's the second rail line to be upgraded in the Super City, following the introduction of electric trains on the Onehunga Line in April.

Auckland Transport says there may be teething problems during the transition.
