Auckland bus commuters should prepare for a disruption to their travels today, with a union meeting set to interfere with off-peak services.
Around half of services operated by NZ Bus will not operate between 9.30am and 2pm.
James Ireland, Media Advisor for Auckland Transport, says some of the more important routes are being covered by independent bus drivers.
"The inner link is a key bus route for Auckland, so that is being covered by other bus drivers, and some of the key routes such as the Remuera Corridor and the Hibiscus Coast will be covered."
Ireland says trains will run to schedule with increased capacity, and suggests travellers download the AT mobile app or visit the website.
