Auckland Council's CEO has written to Penny Bright, saying the forced sale of her home because of her overdue rates is not the council's preferred course of action.
The courts may force-sell long time protestor Penny Bright's Kingsland home to pay for more than $33,000 in overdue rates.
She appeared in the Auckland District Court today, seeking an injunction.
Auckland Council chief executive Stephen Town says Ms Bright indicated her interest in a rates postponement option today, and they have given her the name of a council official who can help her.
He says the ball's now in her court.
