Auckland's Chamber of Commerce has joined the Cancer Society in urging the city's council to enshrine a ban on smoking at outdoor dining areas in a bylaw.
The council's Regulatory and Bylaw Committee is currently merging and upgrading bylaws from the old council, and the Cancer Society will put its case forward on Monday.
