Auckland Transport's being accused of spending millions of dollars on failed plans and proposals for Dominion Road.
Dominion Road Business Association manager Gary Holmes says that since 2004, various bus, light rail and road-upgrading projects have been shelved.
"Essentially tens of millions of dollars have been spent on planning for Dominion Road with not one physical, tangible outcome to show for it."
He says that it is time the organisation thought about the 300 businesses that work on the road.
"We're frustrated with Auckland Transport forever changing their mind. Is it going to be light rail, is it going to be bus lanes, what's it going to be?"
Holmes believes the Auckland Transport Board lacks governance.
