Auckland Council is cutting 38 jobs in a bid to save millions of dollars in a restructure.
The council says it will cut costs by reducing staff numbers, bringing design services in-house, reducing reliance on external suppliers and spend less on marketing.
It says that will save 4.3 million dollars this year, and slightly more after that resulting in 34 million dollars savings by 2022.
The council says after the amalgamation into the Super City it ended up with 130 staff engaged in communications and related activities.
That will now be reduced to 92.
