It's been a sting operation like no other for Auckland's Henderson police station.
Officers were bee-friended by a swarm of about 20,000 bees yesterday afternoon.
Police even had a bee in their bonnet, after a patrol car was inundated by a swarm looking to make it their new home.
Local beekeepers were called in to relocate them.
