The Prime Minister thinks calls for tax cuts are only going to get stronger.
It comes as the government's budget surplus has quadrupled to $1.8 billion in the year to June.
John Key told Mike Hosking that right now there are calls for the government to invest that surplus in things like healthcare and education, rather than give people tax cuts.
However, he expects calls for tax cuts "to get louder over time as those surpluses rise and people say there's actually the capacity for the government to return my money to me."
Do you want the government to use the surplus for tax cuts? https://t.co/3xDAPVmmcu
