The Trade Minister's worried New Zealand might be forgotten by the UK, amongst the drama of the EU divorce.
British Trade Secretary Liam Fox earlier this year promised New Zealand and Australia would be the first cabs off the rank for post-brexit FTA's (Free Trade Area).
Trade Minister Todd McClay said he's hopeful a meeting today with his UK counterpart Lord Price will shift the trade talks up a gear.
"We're a small country a long way from everywhere, we need to keep reminding people of our relevance so it's a really great opportunity to commiserate with my colleague about the Lions tomorrow, and then at the same time talk about the relevance of a trade deal," he said.
