Comedian Ricky Gervais, creator of The Office, Extras, and actor in a huge number of films, joins Mike Hosking for a chat about his new movie David Brent: Life on the Road. 

He talks about how he didn't realise he missed the iconic character David Brent until he started to bring him out for special performances. 

Gervais talks about how he's adapted the character to suit the modern world, and how David Brent would deal with offending people in the celebrity and social media world. 

He also rails against the world of reality TV, and how many people look for nothing more than fame for the sake of fame, and the damage that can have on their self respect.
