Comedian Stephen Fry is being investigated by Irish police after speaking out about what he would say to god if they met.
It follows an interview Fry had with an Irish TV show in 2015 where he said he would question why bone cancer in children existed.
A viewer complained his comments were blasphemous under Ireland's Defamation Act.
Richy Thompson is with the British Humanist Association, of which Stephen Fry is patron.
He told Mike Hosking that law has never been used before for prosecution in Ireland.
"I think he's probably okay, not least of all because of the fact that he's not physically in Ireland, so I don't see how much the Irish government could do about the fact that he's not actually in the country."
