Team New Zealand wants to map out the America's Cup defence as quickly as possible.
The protocols for the 36th tournament have already been written and signed.
Team New Zealand boss Grant Dalton said they will want to revisit it with Challenger of Record Luna Rossa but he's keen to get the Cup plans locked in.
"But I think you will see within a few weeks that we will announce dates as a minimum, and then pretty much roll it out after that," Dalton told Mike Hosking.
Dalton said he has no doubt about the next mountain Team New Zealand has to climb - money.
Staff payments had to be delayed towards the end of the victorious campaign in Bermuda.
The chief executive says they might be able to collect more through sponsors, now that the cup is in the bag.
But Grant Dalton said they need a huge amount to fund their Cup defence.
"It's easy to say 'yeah, it will all roll in now', but it never works that way, that's just not how life works, so I still expect it to be very difficult to raise the sort of money that we'll need, be it that we will do it."
Team New Zealand Homecoming Parade: Everything you need to know
Meanwhile, the South Island's sailing fans have a chance to see their heroes.
Dalton said they could be heading down there next week after Tuesday's parade in Wellington.
"We've had invitations we're in the process of accepting for Christchurch and Dunedin as well so next week, to a point, is still all about the win."
