Family First has been accused of transphobia after launching a campaign against transgender women using female bathrooms.

The AskMeFirst campaign was launched amid concern over a trans student being allowed to use the female bathroom at an all-girl school.

Agenda spokesperson Lynda Whitehead told Mike Hosking Family First were "stirring the pot".

"I can't help but feel that it's yet another crack by Family First at a minority community."

The AskMeFirst website says "there's a growing trend in both New Zealand schools and public places to allow men to enter women’s spaces".

The website says women's privacy and safety is being ignored.
