Coach David Kidwell believes Jesse Bromwich and Kevin Proctor will be back in the Kiwis jersey for the World Cup.

New Zealand Rugby League will meet with Kiwis management as well as the senior playing group to discuss what action will be taken against both players following the alleged cocaine incident in Canberra.

Kidwell told Mike Hosking his gut feeling is the imposed sanction, won't stop Bromwich and Proctor from playing at the World Cup.

"It's five months out from the World Cup. These guys have clearly broken the trust of me, their Kiwi teammates, and they're going to have to work extremely hard to earn that trust back."

Proctor has stood down as captain of the Gold Coast Titans.
