New Zealand Defence Force Senior National Officer Glen King is getting a better picture on what they are dealing with in Fiji post Cyclone Winston.

37 Royal Engineers from the NZ Army are working with Urban Search and Rescue have been working with the Fijian military to clear debris and minor construction tasks. 

The reception from the locals has been "exceptional."
