An act of kindness by a group of Marlborough mates has been well received after yesterday's earthquake.
Three men are driving from house to house, offering to do odd building jobs and delivering supplies to those who need them.
Owner of the group NZ Farming Tyler Fifield said the reception they've been met with has been extremely positive.
"They could see what we were doing and just couldn't believe there were people willing to go out. And I mean it nothing, you know. We're not at work, we've got skills, there's no reason to not be out there helping people."
"What we found was that people were well looked after by Civil Defence, but houses were leaking, or windows were blown out or whatever."
They were asking only for petrol money to get to the next job, but have since received lots of donations.
