A Kiwi aid worker is in the thick of the Syrian conflict where the push by Islamic state militants IS has displaced thousands of people.
Mike Seawright has been working with Doctors without Borders and has recently founded the New Zealand charity Relief Aid.
He told Newstalk ZB's Rachel Smalley the focus of Relief Aid is to deal with the food problem.
"There is massive food insecurity as a result of people not having jobs, not having homes, not having the ability to produce their own food as they normally would, so we're planning to distribute 1 million meals to those people affected by
the conflict."
