An annual protest at New Zealand's spy base has turned its sights on the United States President.
Anti-bases campaign spokesperson Murray Horton said the way GCSB works with America's NSA means the Waihopai communications facility essentially works for President Trump.
Horton said that's worrying because President Trump already has an interesting track record with his own intelligence agency.
"In the period between when he was elected and being inaugurated he got into a fight with his own intelligence agency, but as soon as he was actually sworn in as president he made a beeline for the headquarters of the CIA to say they would have no greater champion than him."
