UPDATED 12.51pm: There's been a major fall in the cost of travel and accommodation bills for the country's ministers.
Newly released quarterly expense declarations show the 28 strong executive incurred a total expense bill of around $1.35 million for the last financial quarter.
That's down nearly $1 million on the preceding quarter.
Driving the fall is a significant drop in international travel expenses.
They fell by over $693,000, or around 55 percent , between the April-June quarter and the July-September quarter.
The Prime Minister has the biggest international travel bill - his international travel costs were almost $140,000 for the last financial quarter.
Foreign Affairs Minister Murray McCully had the next biggest bill at over $103,000, while Trade Minister Todd McClay tipped the scales at almost 82,000.
Meanwhile, in a somewhat unusual development, Attorney General Chris Finlayson actually gave almost $16,000 worth of international travel costs back - thanks to an airfare refund.
