The Prime Minister's office has released heavily redacted papers on advice received about the Syrian conflict and the threat posed by ISIS.
16 pages of papers, from the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet's Security and Intelligence Group have been made available.
They cover the period from mid June to late August - they only disclose information that's largely publicly known about ISIS and the Syria-Iraq security situation.
Mr Key's office says information has been with-held for security reasons, and that a number of assessments have been withheld in their entirety
