Fresh details are set to be made public about Gerry Brownlee's 2014 breach of aviation security rules at Christchurch Airport.
In July of that year Mr Brownlee and two of his staffers breached security rules when they went through a secure door and weren't security screened before boarding their aircraft.
Mr Brownlee's publicly taken responsibility for his actions, however the evidence he, and his staffers gave to a subsequent Civil Aviation Authority investigation has been publicly withheld until now.
Following an intervention by the Office of the Ombudsmen, the CAA has been directed to release further information from its report.
It's set to cover Mr Brownlee's submissions, but not his staff.
They'd been told by the CAA they could give evidence in confidence - the Ombudsmen has upheld the CAA's position that to overturn this could prevent witnesses from co-operating with the CAA in the future
