New Zealand and its Five Eyes spy partners are set to meet in London in the coming weeks in response to the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris.
The Canadian government's confirmed the intelligence network will meet next month.
The group also includes the US, Britain and Australia.
It's not yet known whether outgoing GCSB boss Ian Fletcher will attend on New Zealand's behalf, before he leaves the agency at the end of February.
The meeting will follow John Key's visit to London next week, ahead of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
A spokeswoman for Mr Key says he won't be involved in the Five Eyes meeting.
