Newstalk ZB's picked up a handful of awards at the New Zealand Radio Awards.

Niva Retimanu's won Best Newsreader - again - and Emily Winstanley has won Best Show Producer for the Mike Hosking Breakfast.

Mike Hosking himself has been recognised for an Outstanding Contribution to Radio.

In his speech, he paid tribute to his wife, and fellow ZB host, Kate Hawkesby.

“Let me tell you this, I am the best broadcaster I have ever been right now, not because I blow my own horn, but because I am the best person I have ever been right now and that is because of her.”

Mike also won Best Talk Presenter – Breakfast or Drive, while Marcus Lush has won Best Talk Presenter – Other.

Radio Sport’s Martin Devlin won Best Sports Reader, Presenter or Commentator, and the Newstalk ZB and Radio Sport teams won Best Sports Story – Team Coverage for the America’s Cup.

Jason Winstanley and Nadia Tolich have won Best Content Director.
