The man who started the campaign to save a beach in Abel Tasman National Park from being sold overseas, hopes New Zealanders will step up again for another pristine piece of coast.

Just over six hectares at Tukurua Beach in Golden Bay is up for sale, including a campground and a white sand beach.

It's deja vu for Duane Major, who launched the GiveaLittle campaign to stop Awaroa Inlet from being sold overseas.

Today's Herald on Sunday said he's calling on New Zealanders to unite again, and do their utmost to secure the ownership of Tukurua.

He said he can't figure out why beaches like this end up on the international market, and hopes people power will step in again and save the beach for Kiwis.
