UPDATED 3.34pm: Que Langdon, the girl missing for several weeks who ended up in Australia, has flown back into New Zealand with her mother.
The six-year-old ended up across the Tasman with her father Alan Langdon, who said they were heading for the Bay of Islands but then claimed he broke a rudder and went off course.
They were at sea for a month, and were found in New South Wales last week.
The girl's mother, Ariane Wyler, told media at Auckland Airport she is looking forward to doing some fun activities with her daughter.
"It's fantastic to be in New Zealand. Thank you to the New Zealand public, thank you to the media, thank you to Search and Rescue," she said.
"I'm very happy to be reunited and I look forward to spending some quality time with my daughter."
Alan Langdon has been charged with taking a child from New Zealand without permission and is scheduled to appear in court in Te Awamutu next week.
