Children of the Quake is a special New Zealand Herald video presentation to mark the 5th anniversary of the February 22 Christchurch earthquake.

We meet five children who share the anniversary of a parent's death with the nation. We hear their heart-breaking tales of loss – and the life-affirming stories of how they survived and thrived in the aftermath of tragedy.

It's part of a series of special NZME coverage marking the anniversary over the weekend and into Monday, and there will be full live coverage of Monday’s commemorations on the NZ Herald and Newstalk ZB platforms, including a livestream of memorial service at noon.
