The Crown-Maori Relations Minister is meeting with Maori in Gisborne and Hastings this weekend, as part of his hui to rejuvenate relations.
Kelvin Davis has been meeting with Maori across the country this month to find out what they would like to see from the Government, and he says the meetings have so far been very productive.
"We've had close to seven hundred people attend. There's a number of consistent themes that are emerging and it's been very interesting to hear and not really what I expected to hear."
"People are really appreciative of the opportunity to have a say and have an influence with what the Crown-Maori portfolio will look like and do, heading into the future."
Kelvin Davis says he's had to add more hui to the schedule over the next month, due to high demand.
