There's a call for calm amongst rival gang members following the death of three Mongrel Mob members, whose car plunged off a cliff into the Mohaka River.
Police are considering the possibility the car was run off the road on Saturday, and have acknowledged there could be a gang link.
Mongrel Mob Hastings president Rex Timu said he wants to send out a message for both Mongrel Mob and Black Power Members to keep calm.
He said he wants them to think about the grieving whanau of those who died at this time.
Timu said following the funerals of the three men, Black Power and Mongrel Mob leaders will get together.
"The leaders will sit at the table talk about the issue and the incident but until then, we ask for calm around the country."
