A pilot escaped with minor injuries after a light plane crashed at the Raglan Airfield.
Northern fire communications centre shift manager Daniel Nicholson said they were alerted to the crash at 11.10am on Norrie Ave in the Waikato town.
He said the aircraft, possibly a Cessna, crashed on landing and went through a fence. He said there was "material damage'' to the plane.
A St John spokeswoman confirmed one patient - the pilot - was treated at the scene for minor injuries, but did not require hospital treatment.
Police and ambulance were also in attendance and the aviation authorities have also been notified, he said.
Police and ambulance staff are also at the scene.
