State Highway 1 is closed at Warkworth north of Auckland after a car left the road and caught fire.
Emergency services are currently at the scene.
Diversions are yet to be put in place.
Police say the vehicle came off Stage Highway 1 Brown Road near the Mahurangi River Bridge and crashed into bush.
They say it is too early to confirm any injuries or fatalities.
