A body has been found at Wintec's Rotokauri campus in Hamilton this afternoon.

Police, the Fire Service and St John were called to the Avalon Drive campus at 1.35.

Police confirmed there had been a sudden death at the campus.

The matter has been referred to the coroner.

The Rotokauri campus is one of the Waikato Institute of Technology's three sites and is home to the centre for trades, engineering and industrial design, sport science and human performance, a student training restaurant and a student village.
